Bio

Legal adviser trainee. Jan Jeliński graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. He successfully defended his Master’s thesis on the public and private supervision of the payment services market under the supervision of professor Bożena Popowska.  

Jan is widely interested in the law of entrepreneurs and business. To broaden his horizons, he graduated from the Business and Human Rights – Interdisciplinary Challenges and Opportunities Summer School at the University of Zurich in 2014, as part of an Erasmus Intensive Programme scholarship.

He provided legal services to one of the leading entities in the payment services market, including handling regulatory issues and participating in procedures conducted before the Polish Financial Supervision Authority and the National Bank of Poland. Jan was a speaker at the conference: “Information obligations of suppliers in PSD II and MIFREG (MMC Poland, general accounts and payment schemes in the light of the latest regulations).

 He also rendered services to entities providing services by electronic means by making legal frameworks for on-line services.

 At the Media Law Firm, Jan is, among others, involved in issues related to civil, commercial and telecommunications law.
