Luiza Piskorek

Luiza is a partner at Media Law Firm. She specialises in audio-visual media law and copyright. She advises on the distribution and production of audio-video content and music. Luiza has many years of experience in licence agreements. She acts for Polish and foreign TV broadcasters, TV operators and Internet audio-video and music platforms. Luiza advises on the production and distribution of content such as audiobooks, podcasts, as well as on publishing contracts.

Luiza advises on legal aspects of building and operating Internet platforms, VOD, e-services, and e-shops. She is actively involved in drafting acts implementing EU regulations in copyright law, media law and e-commerce, as well as in digital service regulations. She is interested in new technology law, especially the use of new technologies in the media, such as Dynamic Ad Insertion, AI. She is a member of the Artificial Intelligence Working Group. Luiza advises on the creation, implementation and acquisition of IT solutions, especially in the digital media sector.

She has extensive experience in international trade contracts, in particular the distribution of medical, cosmetic, hygienic and medicinal products as well as the transfer and licensing of technologies for their production.

Her professional practice also includes ongoing corporate advice to companies, legal aspects of ownership changes regarding entrepreneurs, M&A transactions and reorganisation of companies and capital groups.

She is a graduate of law at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw and at the Faculty of Law of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University (UKSW), the School of English and European Law at the University of Warsaw and the University of Cambridge, and Postgraduate Management Studies at the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH).
